PHILADELPHIA – Roadway repairs are scheduled for Tyson Avenue between Roosevelt Blvd. and Bustleton Avenue effective Saturday, November 23rd at 7 a.m. through Monday, November 25th at 12 p.m., announced Streets Commissioner Carlton Williams. Temporary roadway closures are in effect for the scheduled period of time. Work is weather-permitting, and if completed sooner than expected will result in the openings of Tyson Avenue ahead of schedule.
Motorist are encouraged to use Cottman Avenue. Detour signage will not be posted. The temporary closures will allow City employees to repair the roadway. Work has been scheduled primarily over the weekend in order to expedite the repairs and minimize the disruption to motorists.
For the duration of the work, Streets Department crews will make every effort to minimize the inconvenience to affected drivers, bicyclists, and pedestrians. The Streets Department thanks residents in advance for their patience and cooperation during this project.
