PHILADELPHIA – Several streets situated in West Fairmount Park are scheduled for street improvement work beginning Wednesday, June 20 through Friday, June 22, announced Streets Commissioner Carlton Williams. The following temporary restrictions are scheduled to be in effect, between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. each day:

  • Greenland Dr from MLK Dr ramps to Ford Rd
  • Landsdowne Dr  from S. Concourse Dr. to Sweetbriar Lane
  • S. Concourse Dr from 41st Dr to Landsdowne Dr
  • Chamounix Dr from S. Chamounix Dr to Belmont Dr

The work schedule includes intermittent lane closures and parking restrictions to allow for paving, the final phase in the City’s resurfacing program. Motorists are encouraged to use Montgomery Drive, Belmont Avenue and Parkside Avenue.  Detour routes will not be posted.

For the duration of the work, Streets Department crews will make every effort to minimize the inconvenience to affected drivers, bicyclists, and pedestrians.  The Streets Department thanks residents and visitors in advance for their patience and cooperation during this project.
