Spruce Street at 33rd Closed for Roadway Repairs Dec 1 - Dec 4

PHILADELPHIA – Westbound Spruce Street between 33rd and 34th Street will be closed for roadway repairs beginning today, Tuesday December 1 through Friday December 4 at 12 noon, announced Streets Commissioner Carlton Williams.

The closure will allow Streets Department crews to safely perform repairs to a depression in the roadway. Detour signage will be posted at the intersection of 33rd and Spruce to direct motorists around the closure. Motorists are encouraged to use northbound 33rd Street to westbound Walnut Street to southbound 34th Street as a detour during the closure. Eastbound traffic will not be affected.

All work will be completed and westbound travel lane restored by 12 noon on Friday, December 4.   For the duration of the work, Streets Department crews will make every effort to minimize the inconvenience to effected drivers, residents, and businesses.  The Streets Department thanks residents in advance for their patience and cooperation during this project.
