Bin Registration Form

Each year, the Philadelphia Streets Department provides recycling bins at no costs to City residents. In 2017, the Streets Department unveiled a new process that includes registering for a new or replacement City issued recycling bin. The new bins are available while supplies last and have RFID chips that will improve the management of the overall bin inventory citywide.

Please note: A new bin is not required. Residents should continue to use their current bin or a sturdy container with a capacity of 32 gallons or less and marked “recycling” for curbside placement. Residents in need of a new bin due to loss, damage, theft or those requesting a bin for the first time, should register online before picking up a bin at a Sanitation Convenience Center. Residents without internet access can register in person at a Sanitation Convenience Center. Proof of residency is required when picking up a new bin. It is recommended that residents call the Sanitation Convenience Center before going to a center to confirm bins are available. Click here for answers to Frequently Asked Questions.

Be sure to click the submit button below, and bring a printed or electronic copy of the confirmation page along with proof of residency (such as a driver’s license or current utility bill). Showing the confirmation page on your mobile phone will also be accepted.

Pick up your bin at one of the six Sanitation Convenience Centers within 30 days or re-submit your registration. Only one (1) bin allowed per visit. Remember to Call before visiting a Center to ensure availability of bins.

**Please call before visiting to ensure availability of bins.
