Why is my collection day changing?

Collection schedule changes are periodically necessary to improve the quality and efficiency of Sanitation services. We will be able to balance collection routes and improve on-time collection reducing the amount of time that trash is on the street.
What time should I place my trash/recycling out for collection?

Residents must continue to place their trash and recycling at the regularly scheduled collection site no earlier than 7:00 pm the night before collection day and no later than 7:00 AM the day of collection from April 1 through September 30. Trash and recycling should be set out between 5:00 PM the night before and 7:00 AM the day of collection at your regularly authorized pickup site from October 1 through March 31.

Will my collection day change again?

The Streets Department does not foresee any additional changes.  However, if changes were to occur again, it would be to improve services. Residents would receive ample notice of any changes.

Is my pickup location changing?

No. Residents should continue to place their trash and recycling out at their authorized pickup location, curbside (in front of home) or rear (driveway pickup).
