WHAT:           Launch of Philacycle – an opportunity to educate, motivate and reward residents for learning, diverting waste, volunteering and shopping at local businesses. 

WHERE:         Recommunity Recycling – 2904 Ellsworth Street 

WHEN:          WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 15TH, 2:00 P.M. (America Recycles Day)

WHY:             America Recycles Day, a program of Keep America Beautiful, is a nationally recognized day dedicated to promoting and celebrating recycling in the United States. Philadelphia is joining the national endeavor to educate, motivate and make recycling bigger and better through the official launch of Philacycle. Philacycle is the expansion and rebranding of Philadelphia’s Recycling Rewards program offered through Recyclebank. This is an opportunity to hear about the major changes to the program, including a new app that allows residents to be rewarded for learning, diverting waste, volunteering and shopping at local businesses.
