LITTER FREE SCHOOL ZONE

Litter Free Football Pro Promotion

It’s smart to become a Litter Free School Zone

This core element of the Keep Philadelphia Beautiful (KPB) program helps engage Philadelphia’s youth in efforts to maintain a clean city, reduce waste and learn how their actions affect the way their school, block and City looks. Students learn the benefits of waste management, and the reduce-reuse-recycle philosophy. The program runs throughout the school year and includes:
  • A 30-45 minute “Litter-Free Begins With Me” presentation by KPB
  • Distribution of follow-up educational materials for follow-up lessons
  • Distribution of cleaning supplies
  • Student-planned cleanup projects
  • Student designed public information campaign
  • Official Litter Free School Zone sign-posting at end of project
